Professional Development around STEM and Inquiry-Based Teaching and Learning

Zula’s professional development program for preschool, elementary, and afterschool educators provides guidelines, interactive exploration/dialogue, modeling, and hands-on investigation supporting STEM and an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning.

Training supports state early learning standards, state quality rating systems, NAEYC Criteria for Curriculum, the National Head Start Child Outcomes Framework, the Common Core Learning Standards, the Next Generation Science Standards, and authentic student progress assessment. Sessions position teaching and learning as individualized, cross-curricular, and multi-sensory experiences for children based on diverse learning styles and abilities – including special needs. They model a deeply collaborative relationship between children and teachers, and between teachers and families.

Zula’s expert Professional Development Team will partner with you to develop a customized training that is tailored to meet the individual needs of teachers, trainers, curriculum coordinators, directors, and administrators. All trainings will provide strategies to boost teacher’s attitudes and teaching skills as well as academic achievement for all students. Zula provides ongoing support for the continued success of both teachers and students.
